Hello All,
Just wanted to pass along a quick update as time between (and in) hospital stays is limited due to my resting for the next round of chemotherapy and healing.
My prognosis continues to be excellent, but this last round of chemotherapy has been more draining than the first, which required me to be unexpectedly hospitalized for three days, starting at 3rd quarter of the Superbowl (i.e. it wasn't much of a Superbowl, anyways, with the score or without the Patriots)! However, the hospital here was able to eliminate my pain for going in and take advantage of the time in the hospital for getting my body better prepared for my next scheduled chemotherapy next week. So, of course, they were able to change a negative for a positive! There is no real telling of how the chemotherapy will affect your body. So, the doctors (and myself) were not overly concerned with this minor setback, since my signs are all good going into the next procedure, including that my cancer continues to shrink and be responsive to chemotherapy.
So, nothing much more to note than what is above for my medical condition, but more important to note is that I have my two wonderful sisters coming out to visit tomorrow for a couple of days, which Denise and I are looking forward to! This is shortly after our enjoying my brother, Bob, and Denise's best girlfriend, Pam, visiting late last week, as well! So, we continue to enjoy all the support from family and friends, both, personally and through your cards, prayers, etc., which continues from all parts of the country, which is amazing! I have to throw out major kudos to all of those that I have worked with (or work with) from Raytheon, as there thoughts, cards, etc. have been coming in relentlessly from those still at Raytheon (and those not), from all over the country. I am blessed with the people that I have and am working with along with my other wonderful family and friends. I can not express my appreciation for such support in any communication, but to let you know that my hotel room is lined with cards expressing best wishes from all, which I continue to look at and appreciate! Amazing... touching... ... Thank You, All!!!
So, have to go for now to rest up for my sisters, but just wanted to let you all know that Denise and I miss and love you all and look forward to spending continued happy and healthy times with you all in the near future.
Love You, All!!!
Billy & Denise
P.S. Attached you will find our picture with best friend, Pammy, on her visit out! Thanks, Pammy!
