4th Newsletter -
Hello All,
Had a good day (and week) this week!!! After resting for a week from my first round of chemo last week, we received positive results during my follow-up check up today! Even though I need to rest a little bit more before possibly starting my next round of chemo for this week-end (for 5 days), the first round of chemo did slow the progress of the cancer enough that I can walk and dine out for the first time in two and a half weeks. This place is amazing!
In addition, being that I am wearing some of my Boston Red Sox clothing around the hospital and such, I have been getting some funny comments and conversations, especially regarding this week-ends Patriots - Broncos game. People here are so nice!
Also, while at my appointments today, I got some great affirmations about the hospital from other patients, who were also doing well. Everyone knows about MD Anderson, one way or the other, in that they healed one or more of their love ones in the past.
So, my prognosis still looks good with all of this latest news! However, there is still a good deal of therapy that I will need to be doing here. So our eventual return to San Diego still needs to be determined over time (and progress).
So, just wanted to pass along this continued good news! Please continue to email, text, and call, as you can, since ALL of your constant support is helping enormously. As I stated before, you just don't realize how lucky you are in a time like this, when you have family and friends like you all. Thank-You!
All Our Love,
Billy & Denise
