A Message Of Love For Bill  & Denise

Bill's Newsletters To Family & Friends

12th Newsletter -

Hello All,

Once, again, time has gone by quickly without an update.

First of all, I would like to thank all of those that participated in my mother’s funeral services!!! Per usual, the support was both overwhelming and much appreciated!!! She would have been pleased with the quality of friendships represented!!! Thank you, all!!!

As most of you know from the East coast, my trip back East had to be extended by an additional week and a half due to my immune system not being well enough to fly back to Texas as originally planned. Even though I did not have any formal treatments during this time for my cancer, I did receive hospitalization to build back up my immune system, which served well upon my return to Texas. Also, this break helped with our healing in a number of other ways being able to spend some quality time with our family and friends from back East, which Denise and I needed very much!!! We enjoyed the restaurants, porch parties, Bruins, and Michelle’s miracle brownies:) It was nice to see everyone!!!

Upon returning back to Texas on Sunday, 4/27, my doctors wasted no time in getting treatments started, again, by impromptu scheduling surgery to remove my source tumor  on Tuesday, 4/29, and chemotherapy later that week ending this last Wednesday, 5/7. So, needless to say, what rest we got from being back East was used up fast and feverishly upon our return to Texas!!! However, as in the past, both treatments went extremely well and my prognosis continues to progress towards a full recovery. Currently, my HCG cancer marker is down to 161 from 1.4 million and needs to go to zero, which, hopefully, will happen with the next chemo or two. In addition, I am looking at maybe one (or two) more surgeries for removing those cancer cells that had spread to other organs, which, now, seems to only be my lungs. However, again, similar to my previous surgery, this surgery should be minor and non-evasive, which is great!!! So, things look good!!!

So, it seems we will be continuing to stay in Texas for a bit more for treatments. However, we will only be in our place in Galveston for less than two more weeks. So, please no longer send anything to us in Texas, but send it to our address in San Diego, below!!! At this point, our continued stay in Texas may be between hotels, the hospital, and maybe some trips back to San Diego, but still to be determined!!!

Again, both Denise and I would thank the so many that have helped us out during our ordeal!!! Your help and support has been boundless AND continues to propel us forward to getting back to a normal life, where we can enjoy you all!!! Thank you so very much… we love you all!!!

All our love and appreciation,

Bill and Denise
